Job Status:  This position is full time exempt (salaried).

Supervisor:  Executive Vice President – Global Sales

A talented high energy individual that will achieve profitable sales goals by developing and closing opportunities originated by the Director of Sales and by corporate marketing. Drive new sales and provide technical sales leadership through product demos, participation in conferences, seminars, and trade shows.  This Position is responsible for new client acquisition; this is a ‘Hunting’ position.

 Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a pipeline to meet target goals established for this role
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales quota goals established for this role
  • Meet KPI measures established for this role
  • Knowledge and understanding of the information technology space
  • Capable of presenting to large groups; excellent presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
  • Identify new sales opportunities in large geographic territories to grow organization’s market share
  • Stay abreast of insurance industry trends, competitive products, and niche market opportunities
  • Attend and present at industry conferences and events

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business or marketing
  • 7+ years’ experience in a sales role within the IT software or services industry preferred
  • Insurance software domain knowledge highly preferred
  • Incentive Compensation, CRM and Agency Management Software experience highly preferred.
  • ‘Hunter’ skill set, demonstrable new logo acquisition and complex solution selling experience required
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and planning skills with the ability to analyze complex business situations and develop well-written and readily understood business solutions.
  • Ambitious, high energy, self-reliant and self-motivated with entrepreneurial passion
  • Ability to take charge, make decisions, and function under pressure with a high level of personal accountability; sense of urgency and self-initiative is a must
  • Must have very strong communication skills, ability to present to large audiences with conviction
  • Must have an understanding of total cost of ownership model, a working understanding of such financial concepts as ROI and CBA, and have ability to apply them to each client opportunity scenario
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM package, and Marketing Automation package
  • Formal sales training programs like: TAS, Miller Heiman, or similar preferred
  • Up to 50% travel required, including weekends for special events and clients
