Job Status:  This position is full time exempt (salaried).

The Director of Training and Development, is a seasoned trainer, curriculum developer and leader who will take responsibility for CSSI/VUE employee and client training. The Training Director will develop, coordinate, and implement programs encompassing all aspects of training, training management and training development.  You will be able to interact with other internal leaders at all levels of the business to determine the curriculum roadmap to meet business objectives.  You have experience with B2B training technologies and E-Learning.  You can effectively employ next-generation tools to deliver the same modular curriculum in the classroom, on the web, and via self-paced channels


  • Through job analysis, career paths, annual job competency evaluations, surveys and consultation with management create new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Leads the design and delivery of technical training programs.
  • Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, policies and procedures, and functions of company positions to be able to effectively develop professional training curriculum for the organization.
  • Manages the development of training programs and all associated materials.
  • Leads client education efforts centered on technology (with insurance industry clients a BIG plus).
  • Experience working with software implementations and understanding what goes into training users on a new application
  • Experienced with needs assessments, course development and design, and presentation/facilitation of professional training courses.
  • Project management skills necessary to keep tasks coordinated, delivered on time and within scope and budget.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is fast paced and dynamic.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Deliver engaging and enthusiastic instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) on VUE products to customers.
  • Establishes processes to monitor results of training participants and collects feedback on training to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 – 7 years of customer technical training experience.
  • Experience building many courses from the ground up as a curriculum developer.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the insurance marketplace, a plus.
  • Experience with facilitating training to Fortune 500 clients for new client implementations or other types of software training development.
  • Excellent communication skills:  written, oral and presentation.
  • Intermediate or higher skills with Microsoft Office and Learning Management software.
